Actemium Australia is looking for motivated school leavers and aspiring tradespeople to join our 2027 Apprenticeship Program as an Apprentice Sheetmetal Fabricator.
You’ll complete a nationally recognised Certificate III qualification while learning practical fabrication and engineering skills alongside experienced tradespeople.

As an apprentice, you’ll develop hands-on fabrication skills in a practical working environment while gaining the experience and qualification needed for a rewarding career.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll work alongside experienced tradespeople and develop practical skills in areas such as:
Sheet metal fabrication
Measuring, marking, cutting, bending and shaping materials
Reading and interpreting technical drawings
Using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment
Assembling and fitting fabricated components
Welding and finishing techniques
Checking finished work for accuracy and quality
Following safe workshop and manufacturing practices
Working as part of professional workshop and project teams
You’ll have the opportunity to build your confidence and technical skills while working on a variety of fabrication projects
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for people who:
Enjoy designing, making, assembling or repairing things
Like practical work and learning through hands-on experience
Have good attention to detail
Take pride in producing quality work
Are reliable, safety-focused and willing to learn
Communicate well and enjoy working as part of a team
Want to build a long-term trade career
You don’t need previous industry experience. We’re interested in your attitude, practical curiosity and willingness to learn.
To be considered, you will:
Have completed, or be completing, Year 12
Have sound results in Maths and English
Hold, or be working towards, a manual driver’s licence
Hold, or be willing to obtain, a White Card
Experience with engineering, manufacturing, graphics, design, metalwork, automotive studies, technical drawing, workshop subjects or a school-based trade program will be well regarded, but is not essential.
