About the role

Henty Gold Mine is seeking an experienced Senior Production Engineer to provide technical leadership and operational support to the underground mining team. This is a key role responsible for mine planning, drill and blast design, production scheduling and mentoring engineers to ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective mining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong safety culture across underground operations

• Prepare production schedules aligned with budgets and forecasts

• Develop drill and blast designs and mine production plans

• Monitor production performance and key operational KPIs

• Provide technical support to underground mining operations

• Mentor and develop Production and Graduate Engineers

• Liaise with Geology, Survey, Technical Services and Operations teams

• Drive continuous improvement in production, planning and operational performance

About you

• Degree in Mining Engineering

• Minimum 3 years' underground mining experience

• Experience with longhole mining methods

• Advanced Deswik mine planning skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Current Driver's Licence

• Experience with mine planning software and reporting systems highly regarded

• SSE qualifications advantageous
