Colourmax Coating Solutions is a long-established powdercoating and sandblasting business servicing customers throughout the Riverina. We are looking for a reliable, motivated and hands-on Production Assistant / Yardman to join our team.

This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and in a workshop environment, operating forklifts, organising jobs and keeping production moving efficiently.

About the Role

Working closely with our production team, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day movement and preparation of jobs through our facility.

Your duties will include:

• General yardman duties including keeping the yard and work areas organised

• Operating forklifts to move steel, materials and finished products

• Loading and unloading blastrooms

• Loading and unloading trucks

• Preparing jobs for sandblasting and powdercoating

• Hanging and preparing components for coating

• Moving jobs between production areas

• Assisting with daily job allocations and production workflow

• Ensuring jobs are correctly identified and ready for the next stage of production

• Assisting the powdercoating and blasting teams as required

• General workshop, yard and production duties

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment

• Following workplace safety procedures and ensuring materials are handled safely

What We're Looking For

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• Current Forklift Licence – Essential

• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, manufacturing, construction or production environment

• Good understanding of safe material handling

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions

• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance

• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

• Good attention to detail and ability to keep jobs organised

• A proactive attitude and willingness to assist wherever required

Truck Licence

A minimum HR truck licence would be highly beneficial, particularly for assisting with truck loading, unloading and deliveries when required.
