What you’ll need to apply

All applicants must possess:

• Complex behaviour experience (ESSENTIAL): Minimum of 12 months experience supporting residents with complex behaviour. Ability to implement de-escalation techniques and adhere to restrictive practices is essential.
• Qualifications: hold a Certificate 3 in (Individual Support) or higher.
• Transportation: hold a valid driver’s license and have your own vehicle. Please apply only if you meet this requirement.
• Work eligibility: be eligible to work in Australia, either as an Australian citizen or with a valid visa that includes work entitlements.
• Additional certificates and checks: hold the following certificates and checks:
• First Aid Certificate
• CPR Certificate
• Police Clearance
• Working With Children (WWC) Check
• NDIS Worker Screening Check

Key role responsibilities

• Compassionate direct care: Deliver personalised care that includes assisting with personal hygiene, domestic tasks, and mobility support. Be the friendly face that helps with meal preparation and management, ensuring that residents' dietary needs are met with care and attention.
• Transportation: Take the wheel of a small disability van and safely transport residents to appointments and community outings. Facilitate community access, empowering residents to engage with the world around them.
• Medication management: Play an essential role in assisting with the administration of medication, ensuring residents receive the care they need with precision and responsibility.
• Engagement: Offer mental stimulation through engaging and fun recreational activities. Be a source of joy and creativity, helping residents discover new passions and pastimes.
• Teamwork: Thrive as part of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to holistic care. Share your insights and learn from others in a supportive environment where everyone’s contributions are valued.
