About Cancer Council WA
Cancer Council WA is Western Australia’s leading cancer charity, working across every aspect of every cancer. We know that tackling cancer takes all of us. Together, we support families affected by cancer when they need it most, speak out on behalf of the community on cancer issues, empower people to reduce their cancer risk, and find new ways to better detect and treat cancer. With your help, we’re getting closer to a future without cancer. It’s all of us against cancer.
About the Role
Are you an organised, compassionate and proactive administrator who wants to make a real difference?
We’re looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of Dot’s Place Bunbury in the beautiful Southwest. This is a rewarding opportunity to combine both your people and administrative skills while helping create a welcoming, respectful and supportive environment for regionally based Western Australian’s affected by cancer and their families.
As a key member of our team, you’ll be a friendly and professional first point of contact for clients, families, volunteers and visitors. You’ll provide reliable administrative and operational support, helping to ensure the Dot’s Place Bunbury runs smoothly and ensuring every person is welcomed with warmth, dignity and respect.
You’ll work closely with volunteers, community partners and the broader Cancer Council WA team. You’ll be joining a close-knit workplace where people genuinely support one another and contribute to a service that supports people and families during what can be an incredibly challenging time.
This is a part-time position (0.5 FTE) based in Bunbury, Southwest. Ideally, we’re looking for someone who can work five shifts per fortnight, however we’re open to discussing flexible arrangements with the right candidate.
If you’re an experienced administrator with a heart for community and a passion for making a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
• Welcoming clients, families and visitors, managing appointments and providing administrative assistance to the Cancer Support Coordinator in connecting people with appropriate support services.
• Supporting Dot’s Place Bunbury with day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, maintaining a welcoming environment and monitoring supplies.

• Working collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to deliver a high standard of service.
