About the role
The Gate Bar and Bistro have an exciting opportunity for a fresh-faced Cook / Commi Chef to join our well-established Kitchen Team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of produce, culinary techniques and kitchen equipment. Being a team player that can perform under pressure and is prepared to learn.
About You:
Ability to maintain a consistency in food quality and presentation
Effective communication skills with a growth mindset to continually learn and improve.
Be close to having obtained or already have a trade qualification or equivalent experience
Responsibilities:
Follow food handling procedures, ensuring temperature and hygiene control.
Quality control of raw and cooked food products.
Must be able to work weekends and nights.
Knowledge of food safety guidelines
Ability to maintain consistent standards at all times.
Ability to handle high volume production.
