Disability Support Worker

About the role

This is a 1:1 in-home, low support needs role, focused on active capacity building and rapport building. You will provide wrap-around support including mornings, afternoons, and inactive sleepovers on a rotating roster.

Key responsibilities

• Applying a "teach–prompt–fade" approach to build daily living skills—doing things with people, not for them

• Engaging in the participant's artistic hobbies (art, diamond art, sewing, Stitch) and assisting with daily routines, including braiding long hair

• Managing home upkeep, deep cleaning, and auditing safety essentials (first aid kits, go-bags) during quieter periods

• Keeping accurate shift notes so clinical leadership can track genuine progress

About you

• Experience supporting ASD, Bipolar, and PDA profiles

• Willingness to work a rotating roster including afternoon, evenings, inactive sleepovers, and mornings.

• Open Australian Driver's Licence

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Blue Card

• First Aid/CPR

• Police Check (obtained less than 12 months ago)

• Completed NDIS Modules (Orientation, Induction, Safe Eating, Safe Communication)
