About the role

Newcastle Meals on Wheels is seeking a Food Services Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day operation of its food services function. Reporting to the Food Services Manager, the role will support coordination of kitchen operations along with the Catering Supervisor, food safety systems, menu administration, compliance activities and operational reporting.

What you'll do

• Coordinate daily food production operations.

• Support menu planning and documentation.

• Conduct food safety and quality audits.

• Maintain food safety and operational records.

• Coordinate maintenance and equipment servicing activities.

• Prepare operational reports and maintain data systems.

• Monitor stock control and inventory processes.

• Support implementation of operational improvements.

• Support the Catering Supervisor in providing operational direction to the food services team.

What you'll bring

• Experience within catering, hospitality or food production environments, likely as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, Catering Coordinator, Kitchen Manager or Food Production Supervisor.

• Understanding of food safety and compliance requirements.

• Strong administration and organisational skills.

• Experience using Microsoft Excel and workplace systems.

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate operational activities and supervise staff.

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, a valid driver's licence, an NDIS Worker Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain).
