Senior Cost Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to be embedded within the project's Client Delivery Team, providing independent estimating, cost planning and commercial advice directly to the client. This is a standalone estimating position where the successful candidate will be the primary and sole estimating resource supporting the program, working closely with project managers, technical specialists, contractors, and stakeholders to develop, review and challenge project cost estimates.

• Lead the preparation, review and assurance of estimates and cost plans across the project lifecycle, from planning and business case development through to delivery. 
• Develop estimating methodologies, pricingstrategiesand estimating execution plans that support informed project decision-making. 
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define scope, assumptions,risksand project delivery strategies. 
• Undertake estimate validation, benchmarking, constructabilityreviewsand risk assessments to ensure high-quality outcomes. 
• Providestrategic cost advice to project teams and clients across transport,infrastructureand buildings projects. 
• Act as a senior technical leader and mentor within the estimating team, sharing knowledge and supporting the development of others.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. 

• Demonstrated experience delivering estimates for major transport, infrastructure and building projects within a consulting environment.
• Strong experience in first-principles estimating, cost planning, benchmarking and estimate assurance.
• Experience using CostX highly regarded.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships across project teams and clients.
