We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled design manager to join our growing construction team. As a Construction Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing all design activities across multiple construction projects, ensuring that all design work is completed in accordance with project specifications, contracts, and applicable regulations. You collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee design activities across multiple construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors for timely, cost-effective project delivery.Develop and maintain project design schedules and budgets, providing regular updates on progress and potential issues to senior management.Review project specifications and contracts, identifying design requirements and constraints, and resolving design-related issues.Ensure accurate and up-to-date project design records and documents, and manage the design process, including development, review, and approval.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management or engineeringCurrent experience working for a head contractor 7 + years of experience in design management in the construction industryExperience working on largescale construction projects from $100m Ideally have experience across residential, apartments or social housing projectsMust have previous experience working for a Builder / Head ContractorStrong leadership and communication skillsKnowledge of construction project management tools and softwareUnderstanding of construction contracts and regulatory requirementsFamiliarity with building codes and standards
