Cook – Thai Restaurant

PJPP HOLDINGS PTY LTD, trading as Centre Thai Cafe and Restaurant, is seeking an experienced Cook to join our kitchen team in Melton, Victoria 3337.

This is a full-time position offering an annual salary of $80,000 plus superannuation.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare, season and cook a range of dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards

• Prepare ingredients and manage portion sizes

• Monitor the quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentation

• Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen

• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements

• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and storage

• Work cooperatively with chefs, other kitchen staff and front-of-house employees

• Assist with menu preparation and maintain consistent food quality

To be considered, applicants should have:

• A relevant commercial cookery qualification and at least one year of relevant experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen; or

• At least five years of relevant experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen if the applicant does not hold a relevant qualification

• Sound knowledge of Thai cooking techniques, ingredients and flavours

• The ability to work efficiently during busy service periods

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements

• Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
