Service Advisor

GPR Trucks is expanding, and we’re looking for an experienced Service Advisor to join our busy truck service and repair team.

Working in a fast-moving heavy vehicle workshop, you’ll play an important role in keeping customers informed, jobs progressing efficiently, and our technicians supported. If you’re organised, confident dealing with customers, and understand the heavy vehicle industry, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

This position involves managing customer enquiries and service bookings from initial contact through to job completion. You’ll work closely with our workshop team to ensure repairs are communicated clearly, estimates are accurate, and customers receive regular updates.

Your Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries, bookings and service requirements professionally.
• Assess incoming work and organise jobs according to priority and workshop capacity.
• Liaise with mechanics and technicians regarding diagnostics, repairs and parts requirements.
• Prepare and communicate repair estimates and job updates to customers.
• Keep customers informed throughout the repair process and follow up when required.
• Maintain accurate job cards, service records and customer information.
• Help ensure jobs are completed efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Contribute to a positive, professional and team-focused workshop environment.

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years' experience in a Service Advisor, Service Consultant or similar customer-facing workshop role.
• Heavy vehicle, truck or transport industry experience is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of truck servicing, repairs, diagnostics and general workshop procedures.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong time management and the ability to handle multiple jobs at once.
• Confident using computers and workshop/service management systems.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to customer and workshop requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy environment where priorities can change throughout the day.
• Australian work rights are required.
