Diesel Fitter

About the role

Mader Group is expanding and seeking experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Fitters to join the Central Queensland team across the Bowen Basin. This is a rostered maintenance workshop position on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster, involving diverse breakdown and shutdown work across leading OEM equipment including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi and Liebherr.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repair work on heavy-duty diesel equipment

• Conduct breakdown and shutdown work across OEM equipment

• Work on Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi and Liebherr equipment

About you:

• Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent qualification (RPL options are available)

• Proven OEM experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi or Liebherr equipment

• Current C Class driver licence

• Strong initiative, sound problem solving skills and a safety-first mindset

• Standard 11, National Police Check and Coal Board Medical, or willingness to obtain

• Mining experience is highly regarded

• Locals to Mackay encouraged to apply
