CNC Machinists – Day, Afternoon & Night Shifts

Supashock Advanced Technologies is a proudly South Australian company designing and manufacturing world-class suspension systems and advanced mobility solutions for the defence, automotive and autonomous sectors.

As we continue to grow our manufacturing capability, we're looking for four experienced CNC Machinists with milling and turning experience to join our high-performing team at our Holden Hill facility.

We currently have permanent opportunities available across the following shifts:

• 1 x Day Shift Machinist: 7:00am – 3:06pm

• 1 x Afternoon Shift Machinist: 3:00pm – 11:06pm

• 2 x Night Shift Machinists: 11:00pm – 7:06am

About the Role

These are full-time, permanent positions based at our Holden Hill manufacturing facility.

Working with modern CNC equipment, including advanced 5-axis and Mill-Turn technology, you'll manufacture high-precision components to exacting quality standards while contributing to innovative projects supporting Australia's defence and advanced manufacturing industries.

Depending on experience, successful applicants may complete initial training on day shift before transitioning to their permanent afternoon or night shift.

What You'll Be Doing

• Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines

• Manufacture high-precision components from a variety of materials

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications

• Perform tool changes and tool wear offsets

• Make machine adjustments to optimise quality and productivity

• Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment

• Troubleshoot machining issues and contribute to continuous improvement

• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment

• Work collaboratively with the manufacturing team to achieve production targets without compromising quality

About You

We're looking for skilled machinists who take pride in producing quality work and enjoy working in a modern manufacturing environment.

To be successful, you'll have:

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering – Fitter & Turner, Toolmaker, Machinist or equivalent

• Demonstrated experience operating CNC milling and turning machines – essential

• Experience with CNC programming and editing (MasterCAM desirable)

• Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings

• Experience using precision measuring equipment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude

• A positive attitude, reliability and strong work ethic

Highly Desirable

Experience in the following will be highly regarded:

• 5-axis CNC machining, or a willingness to develop your skills in this area

• Mill-Turn machining, or a willingness to learn

• Precision manufacturing, defence or aerospace environments
