About the role
The ideal candidate is a compassionate and motivated mental health clinician with experience working with women experiencing perinatal mental health concerns and a genuine interest in supporting infant development and the parent-infant relationship.
You will demonstrate the ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and work collaboratively with consumers, families and multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes. Experience supporting acutely unwell mothers and an understanding of attachment, bonding and early childhood development will be highly regarded.
You are an excellent communicator who values teamwork, demonstrates empathy and cultural sensitivity, and can build therapeutic relationships with women and families during vulnerable stages of their lives. You thrive in a collaborative environment, are committed to recovery-oriented and strengths-based practice, and actively contribute to clinical excellence through ongoing learning, reflective practice and service improvement initiatives.
Selection Criteria

Relevant qualifications as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or qualified Social Worker eligible for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), or CSU Graduates: Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health).
Please provide a detailed description of your interest and motivation in applying for this role highlighting your relevant skills & experience in providing assessment and treatment for consumers of the mental health service.
Using an example, describe a time where you have had to work as part of a team to solve a problem. Outline the communication skills used and how you ensured the problem would not occur again.
Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
