IPD is excited to offer a newly created opportunity for a Trade Assistant – Electrical Distribution Boards to join our growing Production team. This hands-on role will play an important part in supporting the assembly and delivery of high-quality electrical distribution boards and switchboards for customers across a range of industries.

About the role:

As a Trade Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Assembling and wiring electrical distribution boards and switchboards. 
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, SLDs, and wiring schematics. 
• Supporting production activities to meet quality and delivery targets. 
• Following established quality, safety, and workshop procedures. 
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment. 
• Supporting the workshop team with additional tasks as required.

About You:

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Previous experience in electrical assembly, switchboards, or the electrical industry.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring schematics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, safety-focused, and eager to learn.
