Casual Crèche Team Leader - Northbridge

Indigenous Managed Services (IMS) is seeking an experienced Crèche Team Leader for a casual opportunity at North Metropolitan TAFE's Northbridge Campus.

We are looking for an experienced early childhood professional who can confidently lead and support a team while remaining hands-on and actively involved in the day-to-day operation of the crèche.

To be considered for this position, you MUST hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) and have a minimum of 2 years' experience leading a team within an early childhood, childcare or crèche environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support and provide day-to-day guidance to crèche educators
• Maintain an active and visible presence within the crèche
• Support the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities
• Ensure children are appropriately supervised and supported
• Coordinate daily staffing and operational requirements
• Build positive relationships with children, families and team members
• Complete relevant administration and record keeping
• Support staff induction and ongoing development
• Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment
• Ensure policies, procedures and WHS requirements are followed
• Communicate effectively with management regarding staffing and operational matters

Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years' demonstrated experience leading a team
• Previous experience working in an early childhood, childcare or crèche environment
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
• National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Good organisational and administrative skills
• Confidence managing day-to-day issues and supporting staff
• A hands-on, collaborative approach to leadership

You will be a confident and approachable leader who enjoys supporting both children and educators. You will be comfortable balancing leadership and administrative responsibilities while remaining actively involved with the team.

This is a casual Northbridge-based opportunity and would suit an experienced Team Leader, Room Leader or senior early childhood educator looking for flexible work within a professional crèche environment.
