About The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable K–6 Classroom Teacher to join our team in a Permanent Full-Time role commencing in Term 1, 2027. You will teach in an environment where music and movement actively support literacy, numeracy, and executive function. While a musical background is welcome, it is by no means essential. What matters most is your openness to embrace our unique philosophy, actively incorporating simple, structured musical and rhythmic elements into your daily classroom routines.

About You

• Valid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) approval

• Current accreditation with NESA (or eligibility prior to Day 1, 2027)

• Australian work rights

• Demonstrated ability to plan, sequence, and deliver high-impact, evidence-based literacy and numeracy instruction

• Strong commitment and genuine willingness to learn, adapt, and weave music, song, and rhythmic movement into everyday classroom routines

• Proven capability in analysing student assessment data to evaluate learning and inform future planning

• Demonstrated skill in creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and highly structured classroom culture

• Commitment to working constructively within a dedicated teaching team and actively participating in collaborative planning and professional learning

Key Selection Criteria

Applicants are invited to address each of the following criteria in their written application (maximum 2 pages total), providing clear examples that demonstrate how their practice aligns with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST):

1. Instructional Excellence in Foundational Skills (APST Standard 2 & Standard 3)
   Demonstrated ability to plan, sequence, and deliver high-impact, evidence-based literacy and numeracy instruction. Detail how you use explicit teaching strategies and structured curriculum frameworks to ensure mastery for all learners.

2. Adaptability & Integration of the School Philosophy (APST Standard 2 & Standard 3)
   A strong commitment and genuine willingness to learn, adapt, and weave music, song, and rhythmic movement into everyday classroom routines and cross-curricular activities. Detail how you incorporate creative strategies to engage students and enhance learning outcomes, regardless of your personal musical background.

3. Data-Informed Differentiation & Student Growth (APST Standard 1 & Standard 5)
   Proven capability in analysing student assessment data to evaluate learning, inform future planning, and design targeted scaffolds or extensions. Provide examples of how you differentiate instruction to cater to diverse physical, social, and intellectual learning needs.

4. Positive & Structured Learning Environments (APST Standard 4)
   Demonstrated skill in creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and highly structured classroom culture built on high expectations, clear routines, and positive behaviour management. Explain how your approach fosters student engagement, wellbeing, and mutual respect.

5. Collaborative Practice & Professional Engagement (APST Standard 6 & Standard 7)
   A commitment to working constructively within a dedicated teaching team, actively participating in collaborative planning, peer observation, and professional learning. Detail how you build authentic, respectful partnerships with colleagues, families, and the broader school community.
