Employment type – Temporary until 30 June 2028, multiple vacancies

Salary – GR5/6 $ 102,936 - $ 113,579 plus superannuation

 

 

Your role

 

The NSW Government is determined to make NSW a place where everyone has access to safe and secure housing, and where experiences of homelessness are rare, brief and non-recurring. 

Homes NSW is a division of the Department of Communities and Justice. It brings together the housing and homelessness functions of the Department of Communities and Justice, the NSW Land and Housing Corporation, Aboriginal Housing Office and key worker housing functions from across government all under one roof.

Assist in managing and implementing a range of projects across Homes NSW, to support and improve service delivery and optimise outcomes in the portfolio performance and stakeholder relations. The role applies asset management principals to develop Professional Service Briefs for Asset Sales, redevelopment and upgrade opportunities, and applies knowledge of Council Easements, Deeds of License, Access and Agreements to support service delivery.

 

What you’ll do

 

• Assist in managing a range of projects to deliver initiatives to Homes NSW.
• Manage and undertake operational aspects of project implementation, including monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, and managing deliverables and tasks.
• Assist with research and analysis to support the development of key projects across Homes NSW.
• Assist in managing projects designed to review, monitor and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery within Homes NSW.
• Provide operational advice and communication to stakeholders regarding project status and implementation issues as well as analysing the issues in order to recommend appropriate solutions within delegation and context.
• Assist in preparing a range of project related documents including briefing notes, status updates, reports, budgets and discussion papers.
• Utilise and implement project management methodologies and processes in all projects.

 

What we’re looking for

 

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline are desirable, or an equivalent combination of skills, knowledge, and practical experience, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Experience working within maintenance or a facilities maintenance role or similar field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder engagement
• Understanding of project management practices.
• Understanding of asset management principals in the development of Professional Service Briefs for Asset Sales, Redevelopment and Upgrade opportunities.
• Understanding of Council Easements, Deeds of Licence, Access and Agreements as well as State and Local Government Policy in an asset management environment.

Essential requirements

• Current valid NSW driver’s license
