About the role
Slater and
Gordon Lawyers are a leading personal injury and class actions law firm
where every member of our team has a shared passion for our clients: we are
people caring for people.
Our commitment to our people includes offering genuine work-life balance, with a hybrid work environment allowing them to split their time between home and the office. We recognise and reward high performance and have outstanding employee benefits including a week of shutdown leave, paid parental leave, extra-long service leave, together with various ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.
An exciting opportunity is now available to join Slater and Gordon’s market‑leading National Superannuation and Disability Insurance team in Melbourne.
Our national team is dedicated to helping people access the superannuation and insurance benefits they are entitled to, at the most difficult times in their lives. We act in a broad range of superannuation and private policy disability insurance claims and disputes, and are proud of our track record in achieving excellent outcomes for our clients.
We are looking for a lawyer who is passionate about social justice, interested in complex and evolving areas of law, and keen to contribute to a high performing and supportive national practice.
Why join Slater and Gordon’s Superannuation team?
Joining our National Superannuation and Disability Insurance team means:
Meaningful work with impact
Act for individuals, not institutions, in a specialist and growing practice area
Help clients navigate complex superannuation and insurance systems to secure life‑changing financial support
Strong team culture and support
Work as part of a collaborative, national team that shares knowledge and supports each other
Access to mentoring, regular feedback and structured development opportunities
Career development
Clear pathways to senior roles within the practice
Exposure to complex matters, strategic litigation and law reform work (where available)
Access to internal learning programs and CPD support
Flexibility and wellbeing
Flexible working arrangements (subject to business needs)
Access to wellbeing initiatives, EAP and supportive leadership
Values‑driven practice
Be part of a firm with a strong social justice focus and a commitment to improving outcomes for everyday Australians
With ongoing support and development from a thriving national practice, this is a great opportunity to make your mark in superannuation and disability insurance law.
