THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Concession Store Manager to lead our Shoes & Sox concession at Myer Carindale, working 32 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day performance of the concession, inspire and develop your team, and deliver an exceptional customer experience to families visiting Myer Carindale.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As the Concession Store Manager, you’ll be the leader, coach and driving force behind your team. You’ll create an environment where your team feels supported and motivated, while ensuring customers receive the expert service Shoes & Sox is known for.

• Lead from the front – inspire, motivate and support your team to achieve sales and customer service goals
• Drive performance – monitor KPIs, sales results and key performance measures, identifying opportunities to maximise results
• Coach and develop your team – provide ongoing feedback, training and support to help each team member reach their potential
• Create exceptional customer experiences – deliver warm, knowledgeable and personalised service to kids and their families
• Own the concession presentation – maintain high visual standards, ensuring the space is clean, inviting and aligned with Shoes & Sox and Myer expectations
• Manage stock effectively – maintain strong stock control, minimise shrinkage and ensure product is available when customers need it
• Build strong relationships – work collaboratively with the Myer team and other key stakeholders to support the success of the concession
• Keep things running smoothly – manage day-to-day operations, rostering, team priorities and challenges with confidence
• Champion a positive culture – create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where your team enjoys coming to work

ABOUT YOU

You’re an experienced retail leader who knows that great results come from great people and great customer experiences.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Proven experience in retail leadership or store/concession management
• A genuine passion for customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences
• Experience coaching, training and developing a team
• Strong commercial awareness and confidence working with sales targets and KPIs
• Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced retail environment
• A calm, solutions-focused approach when things get busy or unexpected challenges arise
• Confidence communicating with customers, team members and key stakeholders
• A positive, energetic and hands-on leadership style
• A genuine love of working with children and families
• A willingness to learn, grow and continuously look for ways to improve
