Relief School Bus Driver

About the role

Hilliard Christian School is seeking a Bus Driver to join their team. This is a casual role based in West Moonah, Tasmania and will involve ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of our students when our drivers are absent from their regular duties.

What you'll be doing

1. Safely operating the school's buses to transport students to and from school, following all traffic laws and safety regulations

2. Communicating effectively with parents, students, and school staff to address any transportation-related inquiries or concerns

3. Maintaining detailed records of bus usage, student attendance, and any incidents or accidents

What we're looking for

1. A current Australian driver's licence (medium rigid), with a minimum of 2 years of experience

2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff

3. A commitment to safety and a proven track record of safe driving practices

4. Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle maintenance, and transportation regulations relevant to the role

5. A demonstrated understanding of the unique needs and requirements of transporting school-aged children
