Albury Wodonga Health is seeking an experienced and contemporary Organisational Development Manager to lead our organisational development function and help shape the future of our workforce.
Reporting to the Director Safety, Culture & Capability and leading a team of three, this is a senior role with significant organisational reach and influence.
The Organisational Development Manager will work closely with executives, senior leaders and managers to design and deliver organisation-wide strategies that strengthen leadership, culture, capability, engagement and organisational effectiveness.
This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional learning and development and lead high-impact OD work across a large, complex and evolving health service.
AWH is undertaking significant work to strengthen our culture, leadership capability and employee experience.
The Organisational Development Manager will play a key leadership role in this work, helping ensure our approach is evidence-based, measurable and connected to the strategic priorities of the organisation.
You will have the opportunity to influence at the highest levels of AWH while leading a team responsible for turning organisational priorities into practical, sustainable change.

About The Role
As Organisational Development Manager, you will provide operational leadership across the organisational development portfolio, including:
Leading the implementation of AWH’s organisational development and workforce capability priorities. Delivering organisation-wide leadership development and capability strategies. Leading initiatives to strengthen organisational culture, employee experience and workforce engagement. Translating workforce data, employee feedback and culture measures into targeted organisational interventions. Leading AWH’s approach to employee listening, including the People Matter Survey, AWH Pulse surveys and other workforce insights, ensuring findings translate into meaningful action. Designing contemporary approaches to performance development, talent development, succession planning and career pathways. Leading significant culture and organisational change initiatives across AWH. Building leadership capability in areas including communication, accountability, performance, psychological safety, change leadership and effective people management. Strengthening organisational approaches to learning and development so investment is aligned with strategic workforce priorities. Establishing measures to evaluate the effectiveness and organisational impact of OD initiatives. Leading, developing and supporting a team of three professionals within the organisational development function.
About Albury Wodonga Health (AWH)
AWH serves as the largest regional healthcare provider between Sydney and Melbourne, situated in the border cities of Albury and Wodonga. With a dedicated team of over 3,000 professionals, we proudly service a population of up to 300,000 across North-East Victoria and Southern NSW. Our extensive network encompasses two primary hospital campuses and an additional 22 sites, delivering a diverse range of emergency, surgical, women’s and children’s, community, mental health, allied health, and sub-acute services. Our growth continues with the opening of a state-of-the-art Emergency Department in 2024, and excitingly, the construction of a new hospital at our Albury site by 2028. This expansion will greatly elevate our ability to service the needs of our community, and we need a great team of people like you to accomplish this.
