Mechanical Project Engineer

About the company:

Our client specialises in water treatment, wastewater and water infrastructure construction projects across Australia. With extensive projects across Perth Metro & Regional area's they offer a variety of opportunities to work residential as well as FIFI/DIDO when required.

About the role:

We are looking for Mechanical Project Engineers from a water, SMP or wastewater background to work not only across Perth Metro projects but are also flexible to work on short term FIFO/DIDO projects.

These are field based roles, out on multiple projects working with Australian regional water providers, and MRWA to provide maintenance and repairs to water pumping stations, upgrade of old pumping stations, and construction of new stations as well as new desal plants.

This is a Full Time Permanent Position, so only applications with Full Work Rights in Australia will be considered

About you, as a minimum:

• Trade Qualified Mechanical Engineer, ideally within water treatment or SMP projects
• Experience managing works from concept and design through to construction, installation and commissioning
• Support the design team with drawings, designs and specifications to make sure projects stay on track and budget
• Assist Project Managers manage supplies, sub-contractors, and the construction teams to deliver projects and solve engineering challenges
• Have a solid understanding of Water Corp principals and regulations as well as regional water suppliers and how they operate, especially when it comes to repair and maintenance works on underground piping systems
• Take the lead on document control, inspections and technical queries to close projects out
• Happy to work across both metro projects and when required FIFO/DIDO projects across regional WA
• Ensure safe work practices are always adopted, communicating any issues to site management

• Salary, $150k - $170k + Super + uplifts for DIDO/FIFO projects when required
