Truck Allocator/Scheduler

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Truck Allocator to join our team at our Forest Glen depot. This is a fast-paced role coordinating a fleet of tip trucks across civil construction, quarry, and earthmoving projects throughout South East Queensland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently allocating trucks and drivers, maintaining clear communication with customers and operators, and ensuring jobs are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Allocate and schedule tipper trucks to meet daily customer requirements.

• Coordinate with drivers, supervisors, and customers throughout the day.

• Monitor fleet movements and respond quickly to changes in schedules.

• Maximise fleet utilisation while minimising downtime and empty running.

• Maintain accurate dispatch records and job information.

• Ensure compliance with NHVR regulations, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), and fatigue management requirements.

• Assist with resolving operational issues and customer enquiries.

• Work closely with the operations team to deliver outstanding customer service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in transport dispatch, truck allocation, or logistics coordination is highly desirable.

• Experience within the civil construction, quarry, or earthmoving industries is highly desirable.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• The ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities.

• Strong computer skills and experience using transport management systems.

• A sound understanding of South East Queensland road networks.

• Knowledge of NHVR compliance, CoR, and fatigue management legislation.
