Disability Support Worker - Mental Health Exp. Beneficial (Casual)

Cardinal Care Support Services is currently seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team in the Brisbane and Gold Coast region. This casual position focuses on supporting individuals with mental health and psychosocial needs, helping them live with dignity, independence, and connection to their community.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting clients with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, and household routines
• Providing emotional support and companionship through meaningful engagement
• Assisting clients in accessing community activities and appointments
• Advocating for client wellbeing and ensuring their rights are respected
• Documenting progress and maintaining accurate support records
• Collaborating with the care team to implement tailored support plans
• Promoting empowerment, independence, and psychosocial recovery

What We’re Looking For

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Mental Health, or equivalent
• Experience supporting individuals with psychosocial disabilities or mental health conditions
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with clients
• A trauma-informed, empathetic, and respectful approach to care
• Female staff only (due to client preference and support requirements)
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
• Understanding of the NDIS framework is highly regarded
