About the Role

Are you an international education professional who thrives on building authentic business relationships? Skills Institute Australia is looking for a hands-on, community-minded Student Recruitment Manager to help grow our international student community.

This role is highly collaborative and market-facing. Rather than being stuck behind a desk, you will actively engage with the international education community—primarily focusing on the VET sector while leveraging future higher education progression opportunities as a powerful student selling point. Your success will hinge on your ability to build trust with third-party Education Agents and run dynamic, modern social media and marketing campaigns.

What You'll Be Doing

• Agent Relationship Management: Engage deeply with third-party Education Agents, fostering positive, ongoing relationships and keeping them updated on our courses.

• Social Media & Marketing: Develop and launch proactive marketing campaigns across multiple platforms, focusing on social media to capture the interest of prospective international students.

• Student Enrolments: Assist international students through the application journey, from their initial enquiry through to final enrolment.

• Market Growth: Plan and execute recruitment activities for assigned student markets, identifying new opportunities and agent networks.

• Industry & Event Presence: Represent the institute at education fairs, agent networking events, and local information sessions.

• Internal Collaboration & Compliance: Partner with the Admissions team to keep track of applications and ensure all activities align with ethical and regulatory standards.

What Will Make You Successful

• Agent Network Experience: A proven track record in international student recruitment, with an emphasis on building and managing third-party agent channels.

• Sector Knowledge: A solid understanding of the Australian VET framework, international recruitment channels, and student visa environments.

• Campaign Delivery: Demonstrated experience in building marketing campaigns, using social media, and creating engaging promotional messaging.

• Interpersonal & Cultural Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse cultural backgrounds.

• Results-Driven Mentality: A self-motivated, proactive professional who loves working in the market and keeping accurate tracking records.

• Mobility: Continuous drive to work independently, with a willingness to travel for recruitment activities and partner visits.
