Driving Range Promotions Officer

About the role

The Driving Range Promotions Officer is responsible for increasing patronage, participation and revenue at the Townsville Golf Club Driving Range through the development, implementation and promotion of innovative offers, packages, events and marketing initiatives. The role will focus on attracting new customers, encouraging repeat visitation and maximising utilisation of the driving range across all seven days of the week. The position requires a proactive and results-driven individual who can identify opportunities to grow the customer base and enhance the overall customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement promotional campaigns designed to increase driving range patronage and revenue.
• Create attractive offers, packages and membership products targeting golfers, social players, families, juniors, corporate groups and community organisations.
• Identify opportunities for themed events, competitions, coaching clinics and social activities that drive participation.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses, schools, sporting clubs and community groups to generate new customers.
• Promote driving range activities through direct engagement with potential customers and stakeholders.
• Assist with the preparation of marketing content for social media, email campaigns, website updates and in-club promotions.
• Gather customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
• Track attendance, participation and revenue generated through promotional activities.
• Maintain records of campaigns and report on their effectiveness.
• Act as an ambassador for Townsville Golf Club and maintain a professional, friendly and welcoming presence when engaging with patrons and prospective customers.

About you

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and promote products, services or events.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Sound organisational and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to engage confidently with members, guests and the broader community.
• Experience in sales, marketing, hospitality, sport or recreation industries (desirable).
• Knowledge of golf and golf-related activities (desirable).
• Experience managing social media or promotional campaigns (desirable).
