From routine maintenance and grinding, through to large-scale renewals and mechanised track works, we deliver the capability modern rail networks need to perform.
We’re looking for experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our Karratha-based workshop team.
Working from our local workshop, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy plant, trucks and specialised rail equipment to keep our operations running safely and efficiently.
This is a local position working a 5:2 roster (Monday–Friday), allowing you to be home every night.
Key responsibilities include:
Servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy plant, trucks and specialised rail equipment
Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs
Completing preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
Maintaining accurate maintenance records
Working safely in accordance with company procedures
Experience with the following equipment is highly regarded:
Liebherr, CAT, Volvo and Hitachi loaders and excavators
Isuzu and MAN medium to heavy rigid trucks
Tippers, water carts and ancillary equipment
Hi-rail and rail attachment systems (desirable)
Requirements:
Relevant Heavy Diesel Mechanical Trade Qualification
Previous experience in a workshop or field service environment
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Forklift Licence (desirable)
Ability to supply your own tools
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Reliable, organised and safety-focused
Pride in workmanship and maintaining high standards
Local Karratha role – be home every night
Consistent 5:2 roster working Monday-Friday
Workshop-based position with no FIFO
Work on a diverse fleet of heavy plant, trucks and specialised rail equipment
