• Offering starting salary of $99,938

About the Role

Contribute and support the implementation of business plan objectives to enable the delivery and performance of the Payment Service Team operational requirements, timeframes and compliance requirements against agreed targets in line with the Collections strategic plan.

Duties

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same: as Collections officer  you will:

• Respond to and address customer care complaints to minimize the adverse impact on the collection process.
• Engage with key internal and external stakeholders (Revenue NSW) and foster effective working relationships that will support collection strategies.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the collection process and Strategic Business Plan objectives to support the effective performance of the position.
• Identify and refer to the Team Leads, Collections any potential issues or problems with Collections Operations to ensure that they are promptly addressed.
• Review and contact customers to assist with resolution of unpaid policies as required
• Participate in all relevant meetings to share and develop strategy, knowledge and best practice. 
• Monitoring and managing debtors’ accounts within targets, including, pre-emptive management of high-risk clients and collection of all premiums overdue/due and payable.
• Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, industry codes, company policies, procedures, and customer satisfaction standards.
• Deliver high-quality customer service experience and manage expectations in a sensitive, open and respectful manner.

Skills & Experience

• Comprehensive understanding of products and programs in the insurance industry.
• Experience in credit and collections management
• Business administration (or related) qualifications or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through practical experience
