About the Role:

Samuel Hydrovac Pty Ltd is a growing hydro excavation business servicing civil, construction, and utility projects across the Central West. We’re looking for a reliable and safety-focused Hydrovac Truck Operator to join our team.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, understands working around live services and wants consistent work with a local company.

Key responsibilities are to operate a hydrovac truck for:

• Potholing / service locating
• Trenching and non-destructive digging
• Vacuum recovery and clean-ups
• Stormwater drain jetting
• Pressure washing of roofs, buildings and paths

You will also be responsible for:

• Safely working around underground services (gas, water, electrical, communications)
• Completing pre-start checks, basic maintenance, and daily logs
• Follow SWMS, JSA, and site safety requirements
• Communicating effectively with supervisors, clients, and spotters
• Maintaining a clean and professional truck and worksite

Requirements

• Hr licence
• Previous hydrovac or vacuum truck experience preferred
• White Card (construction induction)
• Understanding of underground services and safe digging practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Physically fit and willing to work outdoors
• Strong focus on safety and attention to detail

Desirable (but not essential)

• Experience with high pressure water drain jetters
• Confined spaces or working at heights tickets
