As a sole owner with no Board to report to, decisions are made and actioned quickly.  He also has various personal interests that you will oversee. Aside from the usual professional and personal assistance duties, you will attend meetings with and accompany the CEO on interstate trips.

The role also provides some broader support across the commercial and operational activities of one of the CEO’s businesses, adding another dimension to an already varied position.

The right person for the role

This is not your traditional PA role and personality is paramount. The role very much has a “seat at the table” as the CEO's right-hand person and needs to be someone he can trust to not only get the job done, but also to provide guidance and bounce ideas off. 

The roles success relies heavily on the ability to retain, develop, and nurture strong relationships at all levels.   

You will need to:

• Quickly build trust and rapport with the CEO

• Have the flexibility to travel regularly, sometimes at short notice, including occasional weekends

• Have exceptional written and verbal skills and the ability to connect with stakeholders from all walks of life

• Have a high attention to detail, nothing gets past you

• Bring a highly collaborative approach to dealings with the CEO, who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day of all businesses

• Enjoy variety as no two days are ever the same

• Have a strong sense of self, and be able to provide sound counsel and guidance when required

• Have the ability to read between the lines, anticipate what is needed and be proactive

• Be able to interact effectively both socially and professionally

• Bring good banter and have a high fun factor
