Hairdresser / Barber – Full Time

Employment Type: Full-Time

Hours: 38 ordinary hours per week

Salary: $82,000 – $85,000 + superannuation per annum

MM Barbers is seeking an experienced and reliable Hairdresser / Barber to join our team in Mornington, Victoria.

This is a genuine full-time position for a skilled professional with strong barbering and men’s hairdressing experience.

Key Duties

Consult with clients regarding hairstyles and grooming requirements

Cut and style hair using scissors, clippers and razors

Perform skin fades, traditional cuts and modern hairstyles

Perform scissor cutting and hair styling

Trim and shape beards and moustaches

Shampoo and condition hair as required

Provide professional hair care and styling advice

Maintain and sanitise barbering tools and equipment

Maintain a clean and hygienic work area

Manage client appointments as required

Provide professional and friendly customer service

Requirements

Relevant hairdressing or barbering qualification/certificate

Minimum 2 years of relevant hairdressing or barbering experience

Strong skills in men’s haircutting, fades, scissor cutting and beard grooming

Good communication and customer service skills

Reliable and professional

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Available to work weekends as required

Position Details

This is a permanent full-time position based at MM Barbers, Mornington VIC 3931.

Salary: $82,000 – $85,000 + superannuation per annum, depending on skills and experience.

Overtime and applicable penalty rates will be paid in accordance with the Hair and Beauty Industry Award 2020.
