An exciting opportunity has become available for a Business Development Executive to join our Intermodal Sales team. Working within our Sales team, you'll play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, reactivating dormant customers and growing existing accounts through proactive sales activity and relationship management.

This role is ideal for an ambitious sales professional looking to develop their career in a fast-paced commercial environment while contributing to the growth of one of Australia's leading freight networks.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will:

• Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, outbound sales activity and customer engagement
• Acquire new customers, reactivate dormant accounts and identify opportunities to grow existing customer spend
• Build and manage a sales pipeline, progressing opportunities from initial discovery through to revenue generation
• Develop strong customer relationships and identify tailored freight solutions that deliver value
• Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records within Microsoft Dynamics CRM
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Commercial and Sales teams to deliver seamless onboarding and customer experiences
• Monitor market trends, customer requirements and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
• Contribute to achieving revenue, customer acquisition and activity targets that support Intermodal growth objectives

What You’ll Bring

• Previous experience in sales, business development, internal sales or an outbound customer-facing role within the transport and logistics industry
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships, identify opportunities and convert leads into business outcomes
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer engagement skills
• Resilience, initiative and a results-driven mindset
• Well-developed organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience using CRM platforms, ideally Microsoft Dynamics
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Exposure to transport, logistics, freight or supply chain industries
• A genuine desire to learn, develop and build a long-term commercial career
