Role Description The Community Volunteer is a full-time, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW, focused on supporting and growing the AI Learners Club community. Day-to-day responsibilities include welcoming new members, answering questions, and helping participants navigate learning sessions, workshops, and events. The role involves coordinating meetups, assisting with event logistics, and helping to organize project showcases and collaborative activities. The Community Volunteer will contribute to content and resource sharing within the community, encourage member engagement, and gather feedback to improve the overall experience. This role is suited to someone who enjoys facilitating connections, supporting learning, and being actively present during in-person club activities.
QualificationsCandidates should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage respectfully with diverse community members and facilitate inclusive conversations.
Candidates should possess organizational and event support skills, such as scheduling, coordinating logistics, and managing participant registrations and materials.
Candidates should possess basic familiarity with AI concepts and tools, or a strong willingness to learn and stay informed about developments in artificial intelligence.
Candidates should possess collaboration and teamwork skills, including the ability to work closely with other volunteers, organizers, and partners to deliver successful community activities.
Candidates should possess problem-solving and adaptability skills, with the capacity to respond to member needs, handle unexpected issues at events, and continuously improve processes.
Previous experience in community building, education, tech meetups, or volunteer coordination is beneficial but not required.
Availability to work on-site in Sydney, NSW during events is required.
