Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator
About the role
At Actevate, we believe recovery is about more than medical certificates and claim numbers. It's about helping people regain confidence, reconnect with their workplace and return to meaningful work safely and sustainably. We're looking for an experienced Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator who thrives on solving problems, building relationships and making a genuine difference in people's lives.
Part-time
2–3 days per week (FTE 0.4–0.6)
What you'll be doing:
Triage workplace injuries and determine the most appropriate pathway forward.
Guide injured workers through the return-to-work process from day one.
Help workers understand their rights, responsibilities and recovery journey.
Coordinate claims, treatment and rehabilitation services to achieve positive outcomes.
Identify barriers to recovery early and work proactively to overcome them.
Collaborate with employers to identify suitable duties and graduated return-to-work opportunities.
Liaise with insurers, rehabilitation providers and treating practitioners to coordinate recovery and claim progression.
Facilitate case conferences and stakeholder meetings to support positive recovery outcomes.
Provide guidance to employers on workers compensation, injury management and return-to-work best practice.
Maintain accurate case records, report and claim documentation in line with legislative and insurer requirements.
Monitor claim progress and implement strategies to address risks, delays and barriers to recovery.
Prepare regular client updates and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and service growth.
What we're looking for:
Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator experience and SIRA Return to Work (RTW) Certificate (preferred).
Nominal insurer and/or self-insurance claims management experience (preferred).
Knowledge of NSW Workers Compensation schemes and iCare.
Experience using case management systems and CRM platforms.
Most importantly, you'll bring:

✔ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
✔ Confidence working with employers, insurers, doctors and rehabilitation providers.
✔ The ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining quality outcomes.
✔ High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
