Food & Beverage Attendant

About the role

The Food and Beverage Attendant helps create a warm and welcoming café experience for every customer at 1947 Coffee Co. and the Evergreen Community Precinct. This role is responsible for preparing and serving quality coffee, beverages and food, delivering friendly customer service, supporting daily café operations, and maintaining a clean, inviting environment. Barista experience, teamwork, efficiency, food safety, and a passion for hospitality are essential to success in this role.

• Prepare and serve quality coffee, beverages, and light meals.

• Deliver friendly, efficient, and welcoming customer service.

• Operate the POS system and process transactions accurately.

• Assist customers with menu selections and dietary requirements.

• Prepare and present food items to a high standard.

• Support café opening, closing, and daily operations.

• Monitor and replenish stock as required.

• Clean and maintain café equipment and work areas.

• Keep the café clean, organised, and inviting.

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements.

• Work collaboratively to create a positive customer experience.

• Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.

• Passionate about hospitality and creating positive customer experiences.

• Demonstrated barista skills with a commitment to producing quality coffee.

• Previous experience in a café, hospitality, or customer service environment.

• Friendly, approachable, and able to build rapport with a diverse range of customers.

• Able to remain calm, organised, and efficient in a busy environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• High attention to detail in food preparation, presentation, and cleanliness.

• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently when required.

• Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

• Experience using POS systems and basic computer applications.
