About the business

Penny For Pound are a busy bakery cafe, operating out of our custom built HQ in Moorabbin. We produce a high-quality product, baked fresh daily and delivered to various cafes around Melbourne 365 days a year. We create a wide range of sourdough bread, flakey pastries, cakes and cookies for our local community, and welcome them to our open production kitchen and cafe space.

We are a friendly, tight knit team, who take pride in what we do.

About the roles

• • Full time positions – Certificate III in Patisserie. Experience in high volume kitchen environment or similar highly regarded.
  • Immediate start available
  • This roles would suit someone keen to further improve skills and experience.
  • Previous experience in a production kitchen environment will make you a strong candidate for this role.
  • Variety of Jobs and general kitchen duties such as: Shaping pastries, rolling croissants, laminating dough, prooving and baking assorted pastries, preparing fillings and garnishes, working within a team to full-fill production requirements (Viennoiserie section)
  • Variety of Jobs and general kitchen duties such as: Following recipes, measure and check ingredients, icing and decoration of cakes, cookies and slices (Cakes & Cookies section).
