About the role

We are seeking a Senior Barber to join the team at NS Hairdressing for Men in Upper Mount Gravatt, Queensland. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead and mentor within our barbershop environment whilst delivering exceptional grooming services to our valued clientele. As a Senior Barber, you will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards of service and helping to shape the professional culture of our salon.

What you'll be doing

• Providing high-quality haircut and grooming services to clients, demonstrating expertise in traditional and contemporary barbering techniques

• Mentoring and training junior barbers, fostering their professional development and ensuring consistency in service delivery

• Managing client relationships and building a loyal customer base through excellent customer service and attention to detail

• Maintaining a clean, hygienic and welcoming salon environment in compliance with health and safety standards

• Assisting with stock management and ordering of barbering products and supplies

• Contributing to the creation of a positive team atmosphere and supporting the overall success of the salon

• Staying current with the latest barbering trends, techniques and styles to ensure our services remain competitive

• Handling client payments and assisting with administrative tasks as required

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a qualified Barber with several years of hands-on barbering expertise

• Strong technical skills in men's haircuts, fades, shaping and traditional wet shaving techniques

• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and support junior staff members

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service

• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of grooming and presentation

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the hair and beauty industry

• Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude towards teamwork

• Ideally, current qualifications and any relevant industry certifications
