Bandsaw Operator

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Metal Bandsaw Operator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in metal processing who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work while maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Operate horizontal and vertical metal bandsaws to cut a variety of materials to specification

• Read and interpret work orders, cutting lists, and engineering drawings

• Measure and mark materials accurately using measuring equipment

• Ensure all cuts meet quality and dimensional requirements

• Load, unload, and handle steel, aluminium, and other metal products safely

• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working order

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment

• Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily targets

About you

• Previous experience operating metal bandsaws or similar metal fabrication equipment

• Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools accurately

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices

• Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)

• Physically fit and capable of handling metal products safely

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
