Milk Tanker Operator

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a professional and reliable Milk Tanker Operator on a full-time basis. The role involves the safe, efficient and compliant collection of raw milk from dairy farms and delivery to our processing facility, ensuring adherence with food safety and transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of tanker, ensuring the vehicle is in optimal condition, and promptly reporting any maintenance or repair needs

• Operate tanker safely and efficiently to collect milk from farms and deliver to our processing facility

• Collect and correctly handle milk samples

• Perform cleaning in place of tanker and equipment in accordance with quality and WHS requirements

• Maintain accurate records of trips, including detailed run sheets and heavy vehicle work diaries as needed

• Identify and promptly report any potential hazards, incidents, or near misses encountered during travels

• Adhere to all relevant transportation regulations and company policies, particularly relating to safety, hygiene, and quality control

• Represent Maleny Dairies positively by providing exceptional customer service and acting as a brand ambassador in all interactions.

About You

• Possess a current HC licence (MC preferred), with experience driving heavy vehicles

• Understanding of safe transport practices and heavy vehicle regulations

• Reliable and punctual

• Friendly and professional, with the ability to communicate effectively with farmers, community members, colleagues and managers

• Physically fit and able to complete manual tasks, including lifting and moving for sustained periods

• Willingness to learn, proactive and adaptable to changing priorities and operational needs.
