Safety Advisor/Compliance Officer

We provide specialist design, civil works, cable installation, jointing and terminating services to the energy infrastructure industry across Australia and New Zealand, specialising in major sub-transmission and transmission design and construct underground projects.

Given our continual growth our Brisbane operation based at Wakerley has a requirement for a Safety Advisor/Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities

• Be the driving force behind the safety culture, leading by example and instilling safe practices in all team members

• Conduct regular safety inspections, identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions to ensure a safe work enviroment

• Coordinate and deliver safety training sessions to team members

• Investigate and report incidents promptly, analysing root causes and implementing preventative measures to avoid recurrence

• Maintain accurate safety records, reports and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirments

• Conduct safety audits and assessments, working closely with Project Managers to address any safety related issues

• Support site management in project delivery requirements

• Inductions and onboarding of new staff/subcontractors

To be successful

• Industry experience Electrical/Civil industries preffered

• Proven experience as a Safety Advisor

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite

• The ability to maintain accurate documentation

• Proficiency in identifying potential hazards, conducting risk assessments and implementing effective safety measures

• Strong communication skills

• Team player being able to engage with internal staff, management, suppliers and clients
