About the role
Wood Tech is a proudly Australian-owned company supplying premium woodworking machinery across the country. From CNCs to edgebanders and panel saws, we help cabinetmakers and joiners stay productive with the right machines and local support.
We’re on the lookout for a Field Service Technician to join our Melbourne Team.
Your role will include:
Servicing and maintaining woodworking machinery
Attending machinery breakdowns and carrying out fault finding
Installing and commissioning new machinery
Carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance
Working closely with our Service Department and Customers
You’ll be working both independently and alongside a supportive team, with plenty of opportunity to develop your technical skills and industry knowledge.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Trade qualified – Mechanical or Fitter & Turner qualifications are preferred but not essential
Mechanically minded – You have a natural knack for fixing things, understanding how machines work, and solving problems
Self-motivated – You’re punctual, reliable, take initiative, and can work independently
A team player – You enjoy working alongside others and contributing to a supportive team environment
Willing to travel – A current Driver’s Licence is essential, with a willingness to travel throughout the East Coast when required
A Forklift Licence and any other relevant tickets or qualifications are preferred, but not essential.
