SENIOR EXTERNAL AUDITOR - BENDIGO – LEADING REGIONAL ACCOUNTING FIRM (JOB ID 1523)

Our client is a leading regional firm known for its strong reputation, long-standing client relationships, and “partner in success” approach. With a team of 100+ professionals and a diverse client base, this firm offers big-firm capability with a personalised, relationship-driven approach. You’ll work closely with an experienced Audit & Assurance team, gaining exposure to a variety of clients while continuing to build your leadership capability. 

The Role: 

• Lead and deliver external audit engagements in line with Australian Auditing Standards  

• Focus on higher-risk areas, financial analysis and internal controls  

• Prepare and review audit documentation and reports  

• Communicate findings clearly with clients and internal stakeholders  

• Contribute to continuous improvement across audit processes  

• Mentor and develop junior team members  

About You: 

• 3+ years’ experience in Australian public practice audit or accounting  

• Strong financial reporting and external audit experience  

• CA/CPA qualified (or currently working towards)  

• Solid understanding of Australian Auditing Standards  

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills  

• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines  

• A collaborative mindset with an interest in mentoring
