A leading national food manufacturer is seeking an Experienced Machine Operator to join their production team in Heidelberg.

This is an ongoing casual opportunity with an immediate start, commencing on the day shift (7:00am to 3:00pm) and transitioning to the afternoon shift (3:00pm to 11:00pm) by mid-September. Successful candidates must be willing and able to move to the afternoon shift.

There is a strong opportunity for the role to transition into a full-time permanent position based on performance and business requirements.

• Day Shift (7:00am to 3:00pm): $34.96 per hour + super
• Afternoon Shift (3:00pm to 11:00pm): $40.20 per hour + super
• Weekly pay

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and adjusting production machinery to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing processes. You will work closely with the production team to maintain productivity targets while adhering to strict quality, safety, and food manufacturing standards.

• Operate and monitor food production machinery, including mixers, slicers, conveyors, and packaging equipment
• Conduct routine machine checks and basic troubleshooting to minimise downtime
• Set up machines for production runs and adjust settings as required
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across machinery and workstations
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
• Report equipment faults, hazards, and maintenance requirements promptly
• Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to achieve daily targets

• Proven experience as a Machine Operator, ideally within a food manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Experience working in a fast-paced production environment
• Understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
