Field Service Technician - Packaging Machinery - NSW

Our client is a local distributor for a major European manufacturer of high quality packaging line machinery and materials handling solutions

At this time we are looking for an experienced Technician to install, trouble shoot and service a variety of equipment including process and packaging machines such as flowrappers, tray sealers, form fill and seal machines, cartoners, pick and place robots and materials handling equipment throughout Sydney and greater NSW.

 Duties will include but not be limited to:

•  Installation of new machinery if the field
• Trouble shooting equipment ion client sites.
• Conducting regular preventative maintenance and scheduled services as required.
• Assisting the sales team with demonstrations.
• Liason with internal and overseas based suppliers on technical issues.
• Customer training.

Ideally the successful applicant will be experienced in a comparable role or has worked with similar equipment as a maintenance fitter/electrician in a manufacturing environment.

However it will be your ability to demonstrate the following skills and attributes that will be most highly regarded.

• Competency in troubleshooting and repairing technical machinery.
• Strong analytical skills.
• A working knowledge of PLC or microprocessor controlled equipment.
• An affinity with and understanding of, the mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic aspects of process machines. 
• Strong computer skills. 
• An ability to work under pressure and display excellent customer service.
• A strong eye for detail and a determination to do it right the first time.
• Be a proactive self starter who builds strong client relationships and has a strong empathy with their needs.
• Full electrical license or electrical disconnect / reconnect is highly desirable.
