About the role
Every successful campaign relies on creating a strong positive social media presence. In an environment where print media is virtually non-existent, people need to gain information and policy understanding through the website, through direct contact and through social media.
We're looking for volunteers who can contribute their skills and time to support the social media needs of our grassroots campaign for the Victorian election.
Our candidate has been formally endorsed by Voices of Deakin. However, the campaign operates independently from Voices of Deakin, and will recruit, manage, and run its own team and strategy.
This is your chance to play a key role in a campaign that prioritises community voices over party politics – a campaign that sits at the heart of a grassroots movement built on listening, transparency, and authentic community engagement.
We're seeking people with skills across a range of areas in the context of running a social media campaign. You might be interested in one or several – let us know what draws you.
We're looking for people who are enthusiastic, organised and reliable. Experience is welcome but enthusiasm and willingness to learn and develop is also valued.
All support to the campaign is voluntary. Hours and timing are flexible and can be tailored to your availability.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences.
