Your Role

An exciting opportunity exists to join the team at Shalom College, Bundaberg, in the position of Administration Assistant (Sport). This is a term-time continuing position for 35.5hpw, commencing from Term 1, 2027 (18th January 2027).

We are seeking applicants who have a passion for sport and who will apply a depth of knowledge and a broad range of skills to facilitate the administration and office procedures to ensure the co-ordination of secondary interschool sport.

In each of these roles the successful applicant will provide a variety of support services with a depth of knowledge and broad range of skills in order to serve the educational function of the College.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate the administration of student participation in school sporting programs, including registrations, student consent forms, participation records and fee processing. 
• Maintain accurate and confidential student sporting and co-curricular records within TASS and other relevant school systems, ensuring data integrity and timely reporting.
• Provide administrative support for the planning, organisation and delivery of major school sporting events and inter-school competitions, including registrations, participant documentation, venue and transport logistics, communications and post-event administration. 
• Assist with the administration of sport awards and recognition programs, including the preparation of achievement records, nominations and supporting documentation for the College Awards Evening and other sports recognition events. 
• Maintain inventories of sporting equipment, uniforms and related resources, including coordinating distribution, collection, storage, stocktakes and replacement requirements. 
• Prepare and maintain team lists, attendance records, participation reports and other sporting documentation as required.

Mandatory Requirements

• A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
